Words From Walter : Meet Your Spirit Guide Meditation

(I hope that you enjoy this meditation that was given to me by my guide, Walter)


This Meditation is intended to aid you in making contact with your Spirit Guide.
Please find a quiet spot with no distractions. Turn off the phone and television and give yourself at least 15-30 minutes for this exercise. You may wish to record your own voice, with or without soft music in the background, reading the instructions and make your own personal Guided Meditation recording.

Let us begin by sitting comfortably and taking in 3 deep breaths. In through your nose and out through your mouth. Relax with each breath letting the tension of the day leave your body. Today is a joyous day for you are about to meet your Spirit Guide. Feel yourself relaxing a little more with each breath. Peacefulness is entering your body through your inhalation. Tension is leaving through your mouth on exhalation. Close your eyes and be aware of your breath slow and steady. In your mind’s eye you see before you a long hallway. You can see a door at its end. As you begin to slowly walk down the hallway towards the door you announce your intention …”I am heading to meet my Guide”. You feel a lightness of self as you walk towards the door. Take your time walking down the hall. When you feel comfortable reach out and open the door.


As the door opens you see before you a beautiful spiral staircase. You are standing at the top of the stairs. Take a moment and look down. There are 3 landings. When you are ready you may walk down the first section of steps. As you descend each step you find yourself more relaxed and peaceful. Your heart and mind is open. When you reach the landing stop and be aware of your breath. When you are ready take the next flight of stairs down. As you descend slowly you are filled with joy. Your Guide is waiting for you. When you reach the landing stop and be aware of your breath. One last flight of stairs lay ahead. Look over the railing. There is a door at the bottom of the stairs. Your Guide is waiting on the other side. When you are ready, descend the last flight of stairs. As you stand before the door at the bottom of the stairwell, you feel intense joy. Your Guide is close. Be aware of your breath.

When you feel ready…open the door. The door opens…You see before you a beautiful garden. In the center of the garden is a bench and on that bench sits your Guide. He/She is waiting for you. Take your time and walk over to them. Sit down on the bench and talk to your Guide. You may ask your guide for His/Her name, if you like as that seems to be of importance to some. You may talk about anything you wish. Spend as much time with your Guide as you need. When you are finished…Thank your Guide for coming and head back to the door.

Entering the stairwell…you now ascend the first flight of stairs. As you go up you feel lighthearted and joyous. You know your Guide is always with you. Each flight of stairs brings you closer to your normal waking state. Ascend them slowly taking as much time as you need. Pause on each landing to watch your breath. You will be fully awake and back to normal consciousness as you open the door at the top of the stairs. Walk back down the hallway feeling confident and blissful. You know you may call on your guide at anytime. You may meet your guide in the garden any time you need. When you are ready… open the door at the end of hall and enter your room.

Open your eyes. This peaceful state will stay with you as you know that you are not alone on your journey. You have met your Guide. We are with you, sent by God, to aid and comfort you.
